As the Design Lead I set out to create a thoughtful and user-centered system for push notifications that would avoid overuse and enhance the overall user experience.
Mobile Design Vision
I crafted a bold design vision to drive direction and transparency, empowering the design team to feel ownership over the UI and rethink outdated business rules. Through collaborative workshops, I established core design principles as the ground zero of our new mobile design system—and brought dark mode to our apps.
Native Mobile design system
I led a team of design and engineering to create a unified design system that delivers a seamless experience across all Trade Me platforms. By integrating Trade Me’s brand foundations with Apple’s and Google’s native design guidelines, we developed a cross-platform style guide that reduced context-switching and provided designers with a single source of truth.
